- Name:
- Patch-clamp amplifier
- Producer:
- Axon Instruments / Molecular Devices Corp.
- Model:
- MultiClamp 700B / DigiData 1440
- Research group:
- Team 6. Nanoelectrochemistry
- Description:
-
The assembly enables current measurements in the range of ±200 pA with a root mean square of noise at frequencies below 10 kHz of no more than 0.3 pA. The basic component of the assembly is the MultiClamp 700B patch clamp amplifier, data acquisition and control device (DigiData 1440) and software (pCLAMP 10) for low-noise current measurements with voltage control or low noise voltage measurement with current control. The maximum current that can be measured by the device is ± 200 nA. The maximum voltage that can be applied between the operating electrode and the reference electrode is ± 2 V. The amplifier has low pass filters with the possibility of regulating the limit frequency. Current measurements can be made with incremental changes in voltage and voltage varying linearly in the manner of a triangular waveform. The maximum sampling rate is 100 kHz (every 10 μs)
