Name:
Apparatus for measuring actual surface area by BET method
Producer:
IPS PAS
Model:
prototype
Research group:
Team 21. Spectroscopic and microscopic studies STM/AFM of intermolecular interactions
Description:

The glass ultra-high vacuum apparatus enables the measurement of the actual surface area by means of xenon adsorption with an accuracy of single cm2. It is designed for measuring small surfaces.

Contact:

prof. dr hab. inż. Robert Nowakowski

Research

  • Type of measurement: Measurement of the actual surface area
  • Test method: Estimation of the sample's surface area based on the determination of the actual surface area of the monolayer from the BET adsorption isotherm for xenon
