The "Gold Medal in Chemistry" competition is organized by the Institute of Physical Chemistry, Polish Academy of Sciences (IChF) in Warsaw, in collaboration with DuPont company. It awards the authors of the best bachelor's or engineering theses in the field of chemistry and interdisciplinary studies at the intersection of chemistry and biology or chemistry and physics, completed and defended in the current academic year. This year marks the thirteenth edition of the competition, with 43 submissions from 14 academic centers in 10 cities across Poland. In the first stage of the competition, a panel of ten jurors selected 15 finalists, representing 8 universities. All finalists are invited to present the results of their work in a ten-minute presentation during the final session of the competition. This meeting will take place remotely on November 21, 2023. The competition jurors will announce this year's winners based on these presentations and discussions. The final results will be announced during the award ceremony on December 13, 2023.
