The subject of invention is a microfluidic system for sedimentation, containing a sedimentation chamber, intended for preparing a blood sample for analysis. The system is designed to quickly obtain a sample of plasma from small amounts of blood (<30 mL)
The subject of invention is also a method for preparing a plasma samples for analysis, wherein the microfluidic system is used. The microfluidic device could be applied in system that allow to perform Point of Care (POC) analysis.
