Offer no. 2/14

Way of the carbon electrode preparation, electrode prepared in this way and its application in tiocholine detection

  • Summary:

The object of the inventions is carbon electrode, its preparation and application for thiocholine detection. Carbon nanoparticulate film electrodes were prepared by electrophoretic deposition of phenylsulphonate functionalized carbon nanoparticles. The modified electrode has much bigger electroactive area than indium tin dioxide substrate. The amount of the deposited material and therefore magnitude of the current corresponding to slow electrode reactions can be controlled by electrophoresis parameters. The modified electrode exhibits significant electrocatalytic activity towards thiocholine oxidation. It was used for its sensitive determination with a wide (0.5 - 2000 ľM) linear range and the limit of detection 0.5 µM.
