THE DIRECTOR OF THE INSTITUTE ANNOUNCES AN OPEN COMPETITION FOR THE POST OF assistant professor (R2) IN THE 9 TEAM/DEPARTMENT, 25/2023

Description

We are looking for a candidate for the position of Assistant Professor in a project related to design and synthesis of novel homo- and heterometallic complexes in molecular and supramolecular systems.

We offer a position in a leading chemistry lab in Poland and taking part in cutting-edge research projects, which include the design, synthesis and characterization of novel homo- and heterometallic molecular complexes for the application as (i) catalytic systems for activation of small molecules, such as N2, O2, CO2, H2, (ii) building units of supramolecular networks, (iii) precursors of functional materials with magnetic and photoluminescent properties. The successful candidate will also prepare scientific publications, collaborate with other team members and international partners, and supervise work carried out by students.

We are searching for a candidate with extensive experience in research related to the design, synthesis and characterization of transition metal complexes preferably in both molecular and supramolecular systems. The candidate is required to be familiar with both solution and solid-state synthesis methods and, in particular, to be experienced in working under water- and oxygen-free conditions using the Schlenk technique and a glove box. The ability to use NMR, FTIR and UV-Vis spectroscopic techniques and X-ray structural analysis procedures is also required.
