The person employed as an Assistant Professor will be responsible for research in homogeneous catalysis and organic synthesis, focusing on the development of novel synthetic methods and multicatalytic systems, while actively contributing to and coordinating research projects carried out within the group.

Remuneration: statutory salary, funded by a statutory grant from the Institute of Physical Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences (IChF PAN), plus benefits in the form of a healthcare package, financial support for holidays, leisure, tourism, cultural, educational and sporting activities, and the opportunity to participate in the Erasmus+ programme.

• A university degree in chemistry, together with a doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in chemical sciences, in the discipline of chemistry;
• Expertise in homogeneous catalysis, particularly in the design and development of novel synthetic methods and multicatalytic systems;
• Proven experience in developing selective catalytic reactions, including regio-, stereo-, and chemoselective transformations;
• Experience in mechanistic investigations of catalytic reactions using kinetic studies, NMR, and spectroscopic methods;
• Excellent publication record in catalysis, demonstrated by publications in leading international peer-reviewed journals;
• Experience in leading a research project awarded through a competitive process within the last 5 years prior to the date of this call for applications. This period may be extended by the duration of any long-term (over 90 days) documented sick leave or rehabilitation benefits due to incapacity for work. In addition, this period may be extended by the number of months spent on leave for the care and upbringing of children, granted in accordance with the provisions of the Labour Code, and in the case of women – for example, by 18 months for each child born or adopted, if this method of accounting for breaks in the research career is more favourable to the female candidate;
• Proficiency in English, both spoken and written;
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.

• Creativity, as demonstrated by the quality and quantity of scientific publications in the fields of homogeneous catalysis and synthetic methodology development, in which the candidate is the first author, corresponding author, or a major contributing author;
• Research mobility, demonstrated through research stays, changes in research profile, and collaboration with international research institutions;
• Number of citations of the candidate’s publications, with particular emphasis on those in which the candidate is the first author, corresponding author, or a major contributing author;
• Experience in leading research projects, demonstrated by publications arising from these projects, as well as a proven ability to secure competitive research funding;
• Teaching experience.
