At Biomolecular Interactions, we engineer and discover new proteins for biosensing in cells and in vitro, as well as for therapeutic and diagnostic applications. We develop genetic biosensors using protein fragment complementation to study protein interactions and enzyme activity in cells, and to advance point-of-care testing and drug screening in vitro. We also use phage display to discover new proteins and binders that improve our biosensors and help us study therapeutically relevant targets and their molecular functions.
