Offer no. 17/14

Platform for testing of chemicals and microorganisms via surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy and method of its preparation.

  • Summary:

The present invention provides a platform for the testing of chemicals and microorganisms via surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy and method of preparation of this platform. The present invention discloses a new surface which can be used for the analysis in Surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) based on a layer of polymeric nanofibers made with Forcespinning technique with highly developed surface coated with gold.

  • Inventors:

  • Advantages / Innovative aspects:
    • The mat produced by the Forcespinning method consists of two layers: the lower layer is the base consisting of microfibers, and an upper part of the platform consisting of nanofibers.
    • Forcespinning method allows to obtain a wide range of fibers from polymers, including those with high melting point.
