- Thermo Electron
- Model:
- Microlab 350
- Research group:
- Laboratory of Surface Analysis
- Description:
-
The Thermo Electron Microlab 350 microanalyzer is designed to study the chemical composition of surfaces of solids with guaranteed analysis parameters, allowing examination of objects with a width of several dozen nanometres and a thickness of several atomic monolayers (~ 1 nm) characteristic of Auger electron spectrometry. The device enables, among others, the visualization of the surface and linear decomposition of elements and profiling of their concentrations into the material with a resolution of 0.5-1 nm and an analytical sensitivity of the order of fractions of atomic %. The spectrometer is additionally equipped with an X-ray gun without monochromator, which allows XPS measurements .
