FORMAT AND PROGRAM

As the number of topics will be relatively varied we have the intention to group them in the following sessions:
  • Fundamental aspects of photo-induced inter and intra-molecular processes.
  • Kinetics in crowded media, restricted geometries and biological systems.
  • Processes in organic conductive systems and nanosystems.
  • Magnetic and electric field effects in chemical kinetics.
  • Chemical kinetics of ionization phenomena.
  • New theoretical and experimental methods.

The above session titles are tentative and can be modified following advice from invited lecturers or other community members.

The intention is not to separate theoretical from experimental lectures in order to keep the audience together most of the time.

Each session would consist of two plenary lectures, one experimental and another theoretical. The lecturers in charge will be requested to give a review on the topic of their session and not to restrict themselves to their own work. These lectures will last 45 minutes including questions.

The rest of the oral communications will be regular, so no invited lectures besides the plenary ones will be organized. Per session there will be five of these oral communications, 25 minutes, each including discussion. Thus, each session will last 4 hours and 15 minutes including a 30 minutes break between the plenary and the ordinary lectures and a 10 minutes cushion in case of delays in the ordinary lectures section.

The poster session will be continuous during the conference meeting. The participants will be strongly encouraged to bring posters with them regardless of having or not an oral communication. The posters holders will be encouraged to shortly present them during the breaks or in between presentations. No participation in this meeting is expected without some sort of presentation.

In summary, there would be 6 sessions comprising 12 plenary lectures and 30 ordinary lectures. This means that three days and a half are needed just for the lectures. An additional General Discussion session summarizing the subjects presented in the sessions and posters could take place, completing a full four days conference.
