REPORTS
Objectives

Intensive and diversified promotional campaign addressed to (1) researches, (2) business people and
politicians, (3) general public.
Improve visibility of the Institute.
Unlock leadership potential of young researchers as a science popularisers.
Encouraging students and talented schoolchildren to start research projects.
Establishing contacts with SMEs for improving transfer of technologies and knowledge.
Unlock management potential in science in the Institute

Tasks
Task 7.1 Project website
The Project Web-portal will contain all the necessary information related to the implementation of the project.
The web-portal will be active and frequently updated. There will be provided materials from events organized by the Institute, delivered lectures, photos from these events and multimedia presentations.
The Project Web-portal will be sustained after the end of the project for at least 3 years

Task 7.2 Publications and participation in fairs, informational and brokerage events as well as in international conferences
The creation and dissemination of a wide range of promotional materials and publications in the form of articles, flyers, brochures, stands, multimedia presentations and other forms. All materials will be personalized depending on the specific audiences:
1. Research community, potential research partners:
a) flyers, folders, b) multimedia presentations, c) presentations at scientific conferences,
2. Business people and politicians.
Promotion of the Institute and the research it performs as well as establishing cooperation with SME.
Cooperation with market-oriented non-profit organizations and local governmental administration for building democratic citizen's society and free-market economy as well as promotion of employment and human resources development.

Task 7.3. Promotion of visibility of the excellence of IPC-PAS
The promotion includes activities:
1. Organization of local events such as: Open Day in the Institute of Physical Chemistry PAS (Institute and newly equipped laboratories will be open for general public, schoolchildren and students in particular, will be provided short lectures, shows and laboratory demonstrations - (main open days will be held April 2012, April 2013, April 2014)
2. Co-organization of large scientific events organized every year
a) Science Picnic of Polish Radio and the Copernicus Science Centre (the Europe's largest outdoor
science-popularization event) - June Spring 2012, June Spring 2013, June Spring 2014
b) Science Festival and Researcher's Nights in Warsaw - September Autumn 2012, September Autumn 2013, September Autumn 2014
3. Organization of training "Promotion of Science" IPC PAS, aided by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, will organize training, entitled: "Promotion of Science" for researchers and general public as well as for politicians. The purpose of this training is to enhance the role of traditional mass-media and Internet in communication on scientific issues with general public as well as more effective and competitive transfer of information on science and nanotechnology in particular to the
society (workers and consumers).
Active training(s) will inform on achievements of IPC PAS due to implementation of the Project. Events organized by the Institute within this Project (working with media, press notes in Internet, lectures delivered, photos from these events and multimedia presentations, etc.) will transfer experience and best practices of IPC PAS as well as increase national and international visibility of IPC PAS.

Task 7.4. Establishing Knowledge Transfer Zone for Socio-Economic Development - Organising Regional Conference on "Knowledge - Public Transfer Zone" (Knowledge Transfer for Regional Socio-Economic Development).
One- or two-day meeting of scientists of the Institute of Physical Chemistry PAS with SMEs will be organized in Warsaw. In the long-term regional and national perspective, there is the necessity of the enhancement of knowledge transfer and of the strengthening networking between research institutions and enterprises. The event is planned for 50-70 participants from the IPC PAS and SMEs related to the topic of the NOBLESSE Project. The contribution of policy-makers is also foreseen. The exchange of knowledge and experience between both groups will be realized by lectures, discussions and exhibitions.
The information about the meeting as well as about the discussed topics will be disseminated amidst the participants of the event and the society in the training materials and by regional and national media (radio, press).
The event will create opportunities to better exploit research results and acquire technological know how by connecting research, innovation and business.

Task 7.5.Management in Science
1) Management in science: we would like to invite six eminent European scientists/per year who have significant experience in science and acquired large European grants. They would deliver lectures on topic "Combining science and management presented on my own example"
2) Extension of business liaisons: lectures provided by advisory board experts on boundaries between science institutions and VC/SME; ways to communicate science to SME/VC; ways to commercialization of scientific inventions.
3) The promotional movie on the Institute and its activities.
4) Press notes and informational releases; Polish and English, to increase visibility of the Institute. PR activities.  (for this activity we will hire a professional science journalist)
5) Development courses and coaching for 5 laureates of "Golden Medal in Chemistry" award for reserach being organised by the Institute for undergraduate students (per year).
