Additional information concerning the qualification exam in physical chemistry for the International Ph.D. in Chemistry Studies at the Institute of Physical Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw, Poland:

The following issues will be taken into account for final evaluation of your written exam:

  • the best elaborated descriptive task of your choice out of ten tasks offered (maximum 2 points)
  • eight best solved short tasks of your choice out of sixteen tasks offered (maximum 1 point for each correctly solved task).
Time of the exam:
  • written exam in physical chemistry - 2 hours
  • written English exam - 30 min
Examination scores:
- very good8.5to10.0 points
- good6.5to8.0 points
- satisfactory4.5to6.0 points
- fail0to4.0 points

You will be accepted for the Studies if you score at least 'good' at the qualification exam, provided there is an opening in the Department that you selected. You will be accepted for the Studies and privileged to select the Department and a Ph.D. advisor of your choice if you score 'very good'.
